Tudor Bed English 1558
The Origional bed was made during theTudor dynasty in England 1558 – 1603 This miniature reproduction of the origional bed has an elaborately carved wooden headpiece supported by a tall panelled bedhead and two turned posts on the foot board. Each panel in the headboard and footboard is decorated with a carved motif sometimes with the families coat of arms. Beds were designed for warmth and privacy and they were so valuable and highly prized that they were passed down the generations and the 14th century onward it is not unusual to find them mentioned in wills. The Bed measures 7 ½ inches log x 5 inches wide x 7 inches high and is available in a walnut finish

George 111 open arm chair is upholstered in light beige grograin fabric.The piping around the buttoned back of the chair, the stuffed seat and arm pads is white. The crest rail around the back of the chair has a hand carvid motif. This carving is repeated on the top of the cabriole legs.The staight legs on the back of the chair are slightly curved back to balance the chair.
