Tall Back Gothic Side Chair 13th C-walnut
Gothic side chairs possible dating from the 13th century when the seats of the lords chairs of honour had a cyclic polygonal shape. The panel in the narrow back of these chairs is elaborately carved with a trailing rose design and a small finial is used to decorate the top. The chair apron is shaped at the front and sides. The square back legs are extensions of the chair back and the front legs are turned. The rectangular spreader bars between the front legs and the back legs is honed in the middle with a matching spreader bar. The chair is available in a walnut finish.

The Tall sideboard displays the ostentatious richness associated with the Empire style furniture in its carving around the sides of the cabinet and on the plinth. The single drawer spans the width of the cabinet and has 2 brass knobs for handles. The cabinet doors have an inlay panel and matching brass knob handles. It stands on 4 small cabriole legs with bun feet.
