Settee Jacobean-walnut
Influenced by the reign of King James (r. 1603-1625). ... Jacobean furniture was lighter than Tudor furniture, made to be seen from all angles and placed a greater emphasis on comfort. The settee is fully upholstered with a loosee seat cushion. The back of the settee has a slight curve and the front of the arms curve down to join the shaped settee apron. The three front legs and the spreader bars are turned with blocks where the spreader bars cross and meet the legs. The Settee Measures 4 5/8 inches wide 2 3/8 inches deep x 3 inches high and is available in a walut finish upholstered in a blue Jacobean print fabric

Taditional mission style settee with slats. (Similar to the English Box Seat Settle) The sides of the settee are at the same height as the back. The front and back corner posts are raised above the settee rails. The front skirt and sides are a plain utilitarian design. The loose cushion is box style and upholstered in an off white cotton fabric. The settee measures 2 1/2 inches to top of post x 4 3/16 inches wide x 2 1/4 inches deep and is available in a walnut finish.
