19th Gothic Panelled Bed - walnut
The headboard and foot board are upholstered in a dark red leather. The four carved corner pillars are surmounted by a spire topped with a finial set in a flower. The carving on the headboard is in open relief and depicts mainstream gothic designs. The carving on the footboard mirrors those on the headboard. The bed headboard measures 6 1/2inches high and the foot of the bed measures 4 inches to the highest point. The bed is 7 inches long x 4 3/4 inches wide and is available in a walnut finish. It comes with a matching bolster and pillows.

Influenced by the reign of King James (r. 1603-1625). ... Jacobean furniture was lighter than Tudor furniture, made to be seen from all angles and placed a greater emphasis on comfort. The Armchair is fully upholstered with a loose seat cushion. The back of the armchair has a slight curve and the front of the arms curve down to join the shaped apron. The two front legs and the spreader bars are turned with blocks where the spreader bars meet the legs. The armchair measures 2 ½ inches wide x 2 3.8 inches deep x 3 1/2 inches high and is available in a walnut finish upholstered in a green Jacobean print fabric.
