Rectangular pedestal French Empire design 1890- 1919
The pedestal is designed to seat busts, statues and plants. It is solid with concave sides sloping inwards. The top is faux marble shaped to follow the concave shape of the pedestal. The corners are tapered and the apron is decorated with small dots. The sides feature extensive foliate carvings. The base is square mounted on lions. The pedestal measures 3 inches high x 1 1/4 inches square and is available in walnut with gold detailing.

Walnut Restoration Armchair - c1870 A mid-size armchair with Walnut frame.The chair thas turned legs to the front and curved legs sweeping to the rear with brass castors. The crafted upper back has a carved crown and Flemish scrolls on the top rail. The front under frame rail is also carved. Fluted arms scroll from the back frame to one third of the way along the seat. The chair is upholstered in a light beige embossed linen fabric and the seat has a piped finish The chair measures 4 inches high x 2 1/4 inches wide x 2 1/4 inches deep.

Mission Style Settee.Traditional mission style settee with wide slats. (Similar to the English Box Seat Settle) The sides of the settee are at the same height as the back. The front skirt and sides are a plain utilitarian design. The loose cushion is box style and upholstered in an off white cotton fabric. The top of the legs is a bulbous turning also detailed in gold .The straight back legs are curved slightly and there are casters on all 6 legs . The Hand painted detailing of leaves along the front of the seat and up the sides of the Settee and the painted ormolu mounts are indicative of the Neo-classical design. The painted design has been continued on the sides of the head rest and back of Settee. The Settee is upholstered in a dust pink linen fabric buttoned on the back and under the am rests. Settee Jacobean-walnut
Influenced by the reign of King James (r. 1603-1625). ... Jacobean furniture was lighter than Tudor furniture, made to be seen from all angles and placed a greater emphasis on comfort. The settee is fully upholstered with a loosee seat cushion. The back of the settee has a slight curve and the front of the arms curve down to join the shaped settee apron. The three front legs and the spreader bars are turned with blocks where the spreader bars cross and meet the legs.
